I was born in the city of Howrah in West Bengal in the year 1968. Did part of my schooling there (Modern Nursery School)
and then I was moved to a harbour/fishing city of Grimbsby, South Humberside by my dad who was working there at Grimbsby Generel
Hospital. I completed my Primary schooling there at South Parade Middle School and then moved onto Hereford Secondary School.
Soon after we were on the move again and this time to Central Africa, Zambia. There I attended a school in Lusaka, the Capital
city but I do not recall the name as it was for a brief period.
Finally dad got posted to a city called Kafue about 45 minutes from the capital city. In Kafue I completed my seconday
schooling (Naboye Secondary School) and the best years of my youth. Then we moved permanently back to our native city
of Howrah and finished my Higher Secondary Education at Don Bosco in Science stream.
After that with my father's guidance I attended I.H.M.C.T.A.N and finished my three years course in Hotel Management.
got selected by the Taj Group of Hotels and was inducted in Taj Bengal. Soon after I was sent to New Delhi to train at the
Taj Mahal Hotel and Taj palace Hotel and Convention Centre. There I spent 2 years of my crucial life. Got posted back to Taj
Bengal, but as life would have it,I realised that I left my heart in Delhi. Soon I joined the Merchant Navy and returned after
a year to marry Christine whom I had left in Delhi, She was daughter of then Air Vice Marshall Jeffrey D'souza, so I got accustomed
to Indian defence services and their lifestyle. Within a couple of years I had my first child Kunal in the month July 1996.
Soon after my family and I moved to Pune, and decided to settled down here. In the year 1999 I quit the merchant navy and
joined Hotel Le Meridien in Pune. In January 2001 I was blessed with my second child, a daughter this time, Rhea.
So here I am in Pune passing this phase of my life, keep myself busy with work and childrens education and the usual
juggling act of family life, tiring at times but rewarding and worthwhile.
